FAQ

eTickets Frequently Asked Questions

Top Questions

Are you Ticketmaster, StubHub, the Venue?

We are not affiliated with Ticketmaster, StubHub, or the Venue itself. eTickets operates in a similar manner as a reseller in the secondary market and may have ticket inventory available for the event that you’re interested in.

When will my tickets ship, and how soon will they arrive?

Ticket delivery can vary extensively event-by-event, ticket-by-ticket, and seller-by-seller. Sellers will ship your tickets as soon as they receive them in their office. Some tickets are not printed and/or distributed by event promoters until a few weeks prior to the event. Your tickets are guaranteed to arrive before the event. For any concerns about ticket delivery, you can always contact your ticket supplier directly.

Why is the price on my tickets different from what I paid?

Sellers on eTickets are reselling tickets to popular entertainment events and may reprice them based on the event's perceived popularity. The price markup covers the costs sellers incur to obtain tickets, making it possible for you to purchase them at more convenient times.

The event is soon and I need a ticket. What can I do?

If the tickets can be set up for local pickup, will call, or email, you can access them the same day of the event. Local pickup means you will pick up the tickets at a location near the venue, will call means at the venue's box office, and email means the tickets will be emailed to you. Occasionally, ticket vendors may opt to dispatch tickets through less common methods such as courier service or, if time allows, by shipping them.

It's important to understand that the availability of these delivery options is determined by the vendor. Some may specify one or more of these methods in the ticket listing, or offer them during the checkout process. Others might employ a "Near Term Special Delivery" approach, meaning they could use any of these methods, but it requires proactive communication with the vendor to arrange delivery.

In some instances, ticket listings might feature "Last Minute Pickup" as a delivery option at checkout. This implies that the tickets can be collected locally, no earlier than two hours prior to the event, from an office located a short distance from the venue.

Regardless of the chosen method, it's advisable to contact the ticket seller after placing a near-term order to confirm the specifics of the delivery arrangement.

Will my seats be together?

Unless otherwise stated in the seller notes, all seats are guaranteed to be together. "Piggybacked" or "split" seats must be clearly advertised for purchases over a certain quantity.

Why aren't seat numbers listed for the tickets?

To protect their privacy and prevent double-booking, sellers do not advertise exact seat numbers. You will receive detailed seat information once the purchase is complete.

Questions About Ticket Delivery

When will my tickets ship and how soon will they arrive?

Electronic tickets will be transferred to you via the email you provided usually within a few days, although sometimes they may be transferred just a few days before the event. In some cases, you may need an account with the primary ticket seller to view you tickets and gain entry into the event.

If you order physical tickets, the delivery timeline varies widely depending on the event, ticket, and seller. Sellers typically ship tickets as soon as they receive them. Once shipped, standard delivery usually takes 2-3 business days, while express delivery takes 1-2 business days. Note that some tickets may not be printed or distributed by event promoters until a few weeks before the event. While immediate shipment isn't guaranteed, your tickets will definitely arrive before the event. For any questions or concerns about delivery, you can directly contact your ticket supplier.

How are my tickets shipped?

Shipping options depend on the tickets you choose. eTickets offers both electronic delivery for many tickets and FedEx delivery. You can view the available options in the shipping notes section during checkout.

Will a signature be required for my ticket package?

For FedEx shipments, sellers who list tickets on our exchange generally require a signature to ensure the tickets are physically received. If you have concerns about this requirement, you can contact the seller directly.

Will I have tickets in time for the event?

Once your order is accepted, ticket delivery in time for the event is guaranteed. You'll receive an email with tracking information once your tickets are shipped.

Why do some tickets state they won't ship until just before the event? Will they arrive on time?

The listed shipment date is the latest possible shipping date. Tickets are usually shipped well before this date and as soon as possible. Once your order is accepted, your tickets are guaranteed to arrive in time for the event, and you'll receive a tracking number once they're shipped.

Can I ship to a P.O. Box?

eTickets requires sellers to use FedEx, which cannot deliver to PO Boxes. If your shipping address is a PO Box, your tickets will be sent to our corporate office and then dispatched via USPS.

When will I receive my email tickets?

Tickets listed for email delivery may not be available immediately. Some venues release eTickets closer to the event date, and some sellers wait until after receiving an order to make tickets available by email.

Questions about Ticket Listings

Why do similar tickets have different prices?

Tickets on our platform come from various sellers, each with their own view of what a seat's location is worth. Consequently, tickets in the same section or area can have different prices. For instance, one seller might list tickets at $50 each, while another lists similar seats at $65 each. We recommend that customers choose tickets based on the location rather than price alone.

Why am I unable to buy a specific number of tickets?

Sellers typically list tickets in pairs to enhance the likelihood of selling their entire inventory, as most people attend events with others. Single tickets are harder to sell, leading sellers to avoid having them by selling in multiples.

What is Zone Seating?

Zone Seating is an option that divides venue seating into areas or "Zones" based on a visual model, simplifying the buying process. Zones are marked with names or categories like A, B, C or Gold, Silver, Bronze. This allows buyers to select seats by zone preference. Some listings may offer more detailed seating information.

Am I buying tickets directly from eTickets?

eTickets acts as an intermediary, facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers, but is not the direct seller. Sellers, whether companies or individuals, are licensed and/or registered, ensuring ticket validity. We post the listing and process your order without directly charging your card.

Why would my ticket have someone else's name?

The name on your ticket is that of the original purchaser. This discrepancy won't affect your event access; the crucial factor is the ticket's barcode scanning correctly at the venue.

When will I receive my tickets?

Estimated delivery dates are listed by sellers. If no date is provided, tickets may be ready immediately or pending. Orders are guaranteed in time for the event.

Questions about Ticket Prices and Fees

Do I need to pay sales tax on my purchase?

Sales tax on tickets varies by state and locality, meaning it's not calculated during checkout. Taxes are influenced by the event location, seller's location, and sometimes the buyer's location, making it difficult to predict tax charges before an order. You may see a separate charge for sales tax on your statement, or the seller may notify you directly if applicable. For specifics, please contact your seller.

Why is there a service fee?

Service fees cover site security, website maintenance, and customer service, ensuring a secure and efficient purchasing experience.

Why was my purchase charged immediately?

Sellers charge immediately upon order placement to secure your tickets in a competitive market, where demand and prices fluctuate rapidly. Immediate charging confirms your ticket at the purchase price.

Are purchases charged in US dollars?

Yes, all transactions on our site are in US dollars. International customers might incur exchange rate charges.

Questions about Other Issues

What happens if an event is postponed?

Tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date. However, postponements do not qualify for a refund, aligning with industry practices even when primary sources offer refunds. Please also note that event cancellations are considered postponements until cancellation is officially announced.

What if the event is canceled?

For canceled events, including sports games not played, customers are entitled to a full refund, excluding shipping. Contact your ticket seller directly for refund procedures. Sellers, who process charges, are responsible for issuing refunds and may require ticket returns before processing.

Can I cancel my order after placing it?

Our sellers, operating in a time-sensitive market, cannot offer cancellations or refunds, adhering to a strict "all sales are final" policy. This is due to the perishable nature of tickets, which cannot be restocked or resold like typical goods without potential loss to the seller.
